Phillip Palmer

Phillip Palmer
Phillip Palmer is the weekday morning anchor for ABC7 Eyewitness News at 4:30am, 5am, 6am and 11am.

Phillip was born in Lawton, Oklahoma, but his family moved around a lot. After Oklahoma, Phillip lived in Shreveport, Louisiana; Wichita, Kansas; Memphis, Tennessee; Little Rock, Arkansas; Evergreen, Colorado; and West Monroe, Louisiana, where Phillip graduated high school in 1981. He graduated from Northeast Louisiana University with a degree in Journalism and a minor in Radio/TV/Film.

Phillip's career began in 1985 in his adopted home of West Monroe, Louisiana at KNOE AM/FM as a radio sports reporter. He moved to KAKE in Wichita, Kansas in 1990 as a weekend sports anchor. In 1994, Phillip moved to KCNC in Denver, Colorado as the morning news anchor. He joined ABC7 in November 1998 as a general assignment reporter and was soon promoted to weekend anchor.

A strong supporter of organ donation, in March 2007, Phillip donated a kidney to his friend, Dale Davis.
