Michelle was born in Waukegan, Illinois. She attended high school in Sheboygan, Wisconsin and went on the University of Southern California. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism.
Her first on air job was at KJCT-TV in Grand Junction, Colorado. She was a reporter, producer and anchor. Michelle went on to work at WBAY-TV in Green Bay, Wisconsin, followed by WFTX-TV in Fort Myers, Florida and WSVN-TV in Miami where she anchored the top-rated "Today in Florida" and "7 News at Noon."
Michelle joined ABC7 as an anchor/reporter in 1997. She is the recipient of an Associated Press award for excellence in reporting and a Telly Award for her work with Children's Hospital Los Angeles.
Michelle and her husband, Craig, have three children.
