Nannette Miranda

Nannette Miranda
Nannette Miranda is the Sacramento bureau chief for ABC7 Eyewitness News and the other ABC owned stations in California, KGO-TV San Francisco and KFSN-TV Fresno. Nannette covers the Governor, the Legislature, and statewide issues of importance to our viewers

Nannette grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. She has a Masters of Science degree in Journalism from Columbia University in New York City. She did her undergrad work at the University of California at Berkeley, majoring in Mass Communications.

Nannette spent time building up her journalism experience at television stations in Shreveport, Louisiana, Albuquerque, New Mexico and Tampa, Florida. Her reporting on the story of the teenager who crashed his small plane into a Tampa skyscraper to imitate the 9/11 hijackers earned Nannette first place for Best Breaking News Report in 2003 through the Society of Professional Journalists-Florida. She also earned the same organization's Sunshine State Award in Best Foreign Reporting in 2002 for her report on the Peruvian Presidential elections versus the U.S. Presidential election.

Nannette joined ABC7 in 2003 following the special election that brought Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger to office.
