Rob McMillan

Rob McMillan
Rob McMillan is the Eyewitness News Inland Empire bureau chief. He recently took up the post after longtime bureau chief Bob Banfield retired on May 27, 2010.

Rob's assignment was a homecoming for him. He grew up in Rancho Cucamonga and graduated from Alta Loma High School. He earned his Broadcast Journalism degree from the University of Southern California.

Rob got his first on-air job at KRCR in Chico, California, where he worked out of the Butte County Bureau. He then worked for three years as a reporter for KAYU in Spokane, Washington. His next stop was Palm Springs, where he worked as a general assignment reporter for two years, covering the Coachella Valley, just east of the Inland Empire. Rob's next job took him to Las Vegas. He joined the Eyewitness News team in 2007.

Rob says he is excited about reporting on stories meaningful to the people of the Inland Empire.
