6 slices no-salt added bread, crust removed and cut in half
6 fresh basil leaves, cut in chiffonade (ribbons)
Preparation:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
Lay out the 12 pieces of bread in a single layer on a sheet pan and place in the oven to cook for 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, in a small bowl, mix the strawberries, balsamic vinegar, and black pepper. Let it sit for at least 15 minutes.
When the bread is toasted, remove it from the oven. Then, spread the strawberry mixture on top and don't be afraid to spoon some of the strawberry, balsamic juices on top. Sprinkle each bruschetta with some basil leave ribbons and enjoy.
