ABC7 Los Angeles seeks a full-time weather producer/fill-in weathercaster. Primary responsibilities include producing weather graphics, weather data research, updating weather content on the web and social networks, along with other related tasks working alongside our weathercasters. Will also serve as occasional fill-in weathercaster on newscasts and other media platforms. Must have the ability to manage multiple tasks and work under deadline pressure. Previous experience as an on-air weathercaster, a degree in Meteorology, and experience with Weather Central and Baron Radar weather systems preferred. Knowledge of, and experience in, file folder structures, Microsoft Office, FileZilla, FlipFactory, and Florical automation systems, video and file-based dubs is a plus. Responsibilities include ingesting commercials, segmenting local and syndicated programs, audio and video QC, video file transfers, conversions and duplication. How to apply for an internship: ABC7 has a variety of internship opportunities available year-round to currently enrolled college students pursuing careers in TV/Broadcasting and other related fields.
Our internship program is designed to provide students with an educational experience that complements their academic studies and provides an opportunity to observe and participate in the daily work and operation of the television station. The objective is to enhance the student's understanding of the broadcasting business and to reinforce their desire to further pursue a career in broadcasting.

Submissions must be received at least six weeks prior to the start date of the semester in which you wish to participate in the internship program. Submissions are accepted as far as six months in advance and evaluated on a first-come, first-served basis.
