Crews will be tearing out the Mulholland Drive overpass, which is the third bridge to be demolished and reconstructed to accommodate the widening of the 405. The new Mulholland Drive bridge will be 10 feet wider and designed to the latest seismic standards.
Only half of the Mulholland Drive bridge is being demolished. The 405 will need to be closed down again to demolish the other half in about 21 months. Information on the Sepulveda Pass project from Metro.net
