Want to prevent chickenpox? Then go outside.

That's according to a new study out of the University of London, which claims the sun's UV rays inactivate the chickenpox virus on the skin before it can spread to another person.

The doctor behind the study said there's evidence that the virus is less common in warmer regions, and that in mild areas cases peak during the winter-time.

The findings could lead to new ways in preventing chickenpox and even shingles.
