DUI suspect crashes into LAPD patrol car

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (KABC) -- An allegedly intoxicated driver smashed into an LAPD patrol car in North Hollywood Wednesday night.

The crash happened at 9:40 p.m. near the intersection of Lankershim Blvd. and Kittridge St.

The suspect made a U-turn on Lankershim and crashed into the driver's side door of the patrol car, pushing the vehicle into a parked truck.

Two officers inside the patrol car were taken to a hospital for a checkup.

The suspected intoxicated driver was not injured. The driver was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence.
