LINCOLN HEIGHTS, Calif. (KABC) -- A man was in custody Friday night after allegedly shooting his girlfriend to death, then turning the gun on himself, police said.
The shootings were reported at 8:36 p.m. in the 2400 block of Daly Street, near Pasadena Avenue and Avenue 26, in Lincoln Heights, said Officer Gregory Baek of the Los Angeles Police Department.
"There was a domestic dispute," Baek said. "The suspect shot the victim in the head, and as a result she died at the scene."
Upon police arrival, the suspect was taken to a hospital with a self- inflicted gunshot wound to the stomach, Baek said.
The suspect's condition was unknown.
