If it's your birthday, you may be entitled to a lavish meal at a top-notch restaurant or a movie and popcorn at one of the most expensive theaters in town all for free.

When you join Red Robin's Red Royalty program you can get a free appetizer (within 14 days of registering your rewards card online) and during your birthday month you can get a free burger or a chicken sandwich. You can also get a birthday sundae for free at most locations.

Panera Bread gives you a free dessert or drink on your birthday, if you register for their MyPanera card. At Buca di Beppo, you get a free appetizer just for signing up for their eClub and a free brownie on your birthday.

A birthday perk at Starbucks is a free coffee or drink of your choice. To qualify, you'll first need a Starbucks gift card of any amount, then sign up online for Starbucks Rewards.

Benihana restaurants are famous for their chefs who entertain and cook with sharp knives, preparing fresh meals at teppanyaki tables. If you sign up for Benihana's The Chef's Table rewards program online or at one of their restaurants, you'll get a free $30 meal certificate good the entire month of your birthday.

With ski season right around the corner, you can get a free lift ticket on your birthday at Snow Summit or Bear Mountain Resorts. That's a savings up to $69 you'd pay for an all-day ski pass.

If you'd rather hit the alley then the slopes, you can strike up a great birthday freebie at Brunswick bowling centers. Sign up online at Brunswickzone.com and receive two free games for your birthday.

Gold Class Cinemas in Pasadena may be the most expensive theater in town. The seating at Gold Class Cinemas is absolutely incredible, probably more comfortable than at your home, and at the touch of a button, you can food and drinks brought right to your seat.

A movie, which comes with buttered popcorn, will set you back $25 to $29. But if sign up for their membership rewards program, you can get in for free on your birthday.

At Aveda stores, which specialize in hair and skin products for men and women, visitors can get a free cup of tea and a stress relieving hand ritual every day. And if you sign up for Aveda's Birthday Program, birthday guests get a personal blend of perfumes or lotions with the aroma of their choice. That's a $20 value.
