LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- The city of Los Angeles took more than 1,600 guns out of circulation this weekend with its annual gun buyback.
At six locations across the city, people were allowed to exchange their guns - no questions asked - for pre-paid gift cards: $200 for assault weapons, $100 for handguns, shotguns and rifles.
Authorities said one anti-tank rocket launcher was also turned in.
This is the fourth year of the program. In all, about 8,000 guns have been surrendered.
