GLENDORA, Calif. (KABC) -- A teenager from Glendora managed to barter an old cell phone all the way up to a Porsche making trades on Craigslist.
Steven Ortiz, 17, started making trades two years ago on the advertising website.
A few trades later, he had an iPod. Then came dirt bikes, a truck, some cars, a sports utility vehicle and finally a 2000 Porsche.
But all this took a lot of time and effort.
"A lot of my friends are jealous," Ortiz says. "A lot of my friends come up to me and tell me, 'You want to trade my phone for a car? Try to get me a Ferrari.' I tell them it's not that easy. It takes time and patience, definitely."
Steven just got his driver's license and says he's looking forward to enjoying the results of all that work.
