Caught on tape: Seal pup escapes lobster trap

EAST LOTHIAN, Scotland (KABC) -- Live video caught a dramatic ordeal when a seal pup was trapped inside a lobster trap off the Scottish coast.

Footage of the incident was released by the Scottish Seabird Centre.

A worried mother was seen next to the trapped seal pup, as the waves crashed around it.

The exhausted pup managed to wiggle out after an hour-long ordeal.

Staff at the Scottish Seabird Centre nicknamed the seal "Houdini" after the famous escape artist.
