LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Ever wonder which vehicles are the dirtiest on the road?
Forbes compiled a list of the worst offenders, and they are not all bulky gas guzzlers.
Using data from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Forbes found vehicles that combine poor gas mileage with high tailpipe and greenhouse gas emissions were the worst for the environment.
In order from the dirtiest, the top five are the Jeep Grand Cherokee, the BMW M5, the BMW M6 sedan and convertible, the Chevy Trailblazer and the Mercedes-Benz C-l600.
