Order Valentine's Day gifts, flowers from your phone

Thursday, February 09, 2012

Chocolates and flowers are still two of the most popular Valentine's Day gifts. And this year it's easier than ever to get goodies for your sweetheart.

You can order those and some non-traditional Valentine's gifts, including many that are free, all from your smartphone or tablet.

Apps, like the one from ProFlowers, allow you to send a variety of floral arrangements from your Android, iPhone or iPad.

And want to bring romance to your mobile device? Check out the free 1,000,000+ Valentine Wallpapers app for iPhones and iPads that displays high-resolution Valentine's graphics. You can save them to your phone, send them electronically or assign them as a background for a special contact.

For romantic music, check out the free Valentine RADIO app for Android and iPhones. It plays love songs from about two dozen internet radio stations.

Nothing may satisfy your Valentine's sweet tooth like Chocolate. Godiva sells high-end confections at their retail stores, but if you have the Godiva app for your BlackBerry and iPhone, you can get their chocolates from wherever you are.

And Victoria's Secret is not much of a secret around Valentine's Day. While the store may get jam-packed with shoppers, you don't have to wait in line to buy something special. You can do it with the Victoria's Secret app.

The app, for Android and iPhone users, also allows you send an electronic Valentine's Day Card absolutely free.
