Need a new TV, camera, or maybe a baby stroller, and you want a good deal? You can always go to the store and haggle over the price, but an easier way is to negotiate your price through the Internet.

Recently launched Los Angeles-based Greentoe.com is the first and only website that allows you to name the price you're willing to pay for new, brand name items such as electronics, appliances, musical instruments and even baby items.

If it sounds like Priceline or eBay, it's not. Unlike eBay, you're not bidding against anyone, and unlike Priceline you know exactly what you're buying. typically retailers are not allowed by some manufacturers to advertise certain prices if they're too low.

Using the website is free. There is a return policy, and tax and shipping costs are included. So what you offer is what you pay.

Currently there are not a lot of retailers signed up to work with the website and there aren't a lot of categories of products, but that's reportedly expanding.
