LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- As every woman knows, there's nothing like the perfect pair of jeans, and apparently, Oprah Winfrey has found them.
On Thursday's show, Winfrey showed off her new favorite jeans made for real women with real curves, and as you can imagine, she set off a shopping frenzy.
"They're known as the CJ by Cookie Johnson, and the genius behind them is Cookie Johnson, the wife of NBA legend Magic Johnson," said Winfrey.
Cookie Johnson is like many women out there. She's beautiful and successful but always struggling to find the perfect jeans.
"I was that woman. I could not find a jean to fit me," said Johnson.
So she took matters into her own hands and teamed up with denim legend Michael Glasser to create a new line meant to fit real women.
Winfrey took notice, dedicating part of a show to the perfect jeans and showing them off on the cover of the latest "O" magazine.
"The jean that Oprah was wearing is what we call the 'boyfriend jean.' It's a comfortable, easy-fit jean. It fits the butt, so there is some sexiness to it, but yet it's very comfortable," said Glasser.
One day after appearing on the Oprah show, the jeans are flying off store shelves, nearly selling out in several east coast stores.
"One of the Philadelphia stores sold probably 20 jeans before the doors even opened this morning," said Johnson.
So what makes these jeans so special?
"These jeans come up a little higher in the back so they cover the curve in the back," described Johnson.
"You can bend over and nothing shows. And I know there are a lot of moms out there, and you know you have to bend over to pick your babies up and you don't want the whole world to see what you have," Johnson added.
But Johnson and Glasser say it's not just about the fit. They say it's the way a woman feels in the right pair of jeans.
"Women were coming out of the dressing room crying. Oh my god, I finally found a pair of jeans that fits me, and that's what resonated into my soul and I said we're really doing something great here," said Glasser.
"These jeans are woven with a little bit of self esteem," said Johnson.
CJ by Cookie Johnson sells in Nordstroms, Bloomingdales and Neiman Marcus and ranges in price from $140 to $180 with sizes ranging from 2 to 18.
