Lindsay Lohan receives glowing review from judge

DEL AIRE, Calif. (KABC) -- Actress Lindsay Lohan received a glowing review during a brief court hearing Wednesday morning about her probation progress.

In what may be a sign of her reformed ways, Lohan showed up for her court ordered progress report 20 minutes early.

Once inside, Judge Stephanie Sautner was impressed with the 25-year-old's progress.

Over the last five weeks, Lohan was required to perform 15 days of service at the L.A. Count morgue, five therapy sessions and to keep in touch with her probation officer. Sautner said thatat this point, Lohan has done everything required of her.

"You're in the home stretch," Saunter told a smiling Lohan. "The probation officer is pleased with your progress. You seem to be getting your life back on track, and that's what we all hoped for."

Lohan first got into trouble five years ago with a drunk driving arrest. That was followed by a series of probation violations and failed drug tests. She had several short stays in jail and was looking at the possibility of real jail time when she finally responded to the court's orders.

One more progress report remains for Lohan March 29, along with 14 more days of community service and five more therapy sessions.

"Stay out of trouble and move on with your life," Sautner said.

Lohan's acting career also seems to be rebounding. She is scheduled to make an appearance on Saturday Night Live next month, and she has reportedly been working with Lifetime Television about portraying actress Elizabeth Taylor in a movie.

Lohan will technically still be on probation after her March 29 progress report due a theft charge. However the judge made it clear that as long as she stays out of trouble, she will have no court restrictions.
