ABC confirmed on Wednesday that TV's longest running daytime drama, "General Hospital," will be staying on the air, but "The Revolution" will be canceled.

"General Hospital" will celebrate its 50th anniversary next April.

With Katie Couric joining the ABC lineup in the fall, "General Hospital," "The Chew" and "The Revolution" had been competing for the two available slots.

"The Revolution," a show about health and lifestyle transformations, debuted in January, hosted by a team of experts, including fashion expert Tim Gunn. It will end its run in July.
