LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- "Bachelor" couple Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici announced Monday that they have set a wedding date, and the ceremony will be broadcast live on ABC.
The couple from season 17 of "The Bachelor" appeared on "Good Morning America" to make the announcement that their wedding will be on Jan. 26, 2014. It will be the first time in the show's history that the wedding will take place live.
Lowe, a 29-year-old entrepreneur from Dallas, first appeared on reality television on season eight of "The Bachelorette," but he was eliminated by Emily Maynard right before the finale.
Then last March, millions watched Lowe get down on one knee in the Thailand sunset to propose to the woman who won the final rose, the 27-year-old Giudici.
Just a few weeks after the show finale, Lowe competed on season 16 of "Dancing With The Stars," with his new fiancee cheering him along through every step.
Giudici, a graphic designer from Seattle, says they want to have a traditional wedding and a big, fun reception.
"I just want it to be fun and show our love," she said. "Other than that, I know that it's going to be a beautiful wedding."
She also revealed that some of her former competitors on "The Bachelor" will be invited to the wedding, and one of them, 25-year-old Lesley Murphy from Fort Smith, Ariz., , will be among her bridesmaids.
