Die-hard "Twilight" fans camped outside of Comic-Con in San Diego in hopes of getting good seats to Thursday's panel discussion with the stars of the film. But they ended up getting a whole lot more.

"We woke up bright and early this morning and we got to go down and surprise our fans and actually go get right in the mix of them and interact with them. So that was really fun," said actress Ashley Greene.

The stars greeted the fans, signed autographs and took pictures.

"There will be an exclusive group, I'm sure, for the rest of our lives. Whether it's three people or 30 people that love 'Twilight' and still don't regret the tatoos that they got and the backpacks they still have on," said actress Nikki Reed. "But for the most part this will all go away and so I think that now is a really good time to short of just go out there in the morning, like I did super early, and just really take the time to thank people and say, 'This experience has been what it has been because of you guys.'"

Actor Robert Pattinson said it was his first Comic-Con experience in 2008 where he realized his life would never be the same.

"No one knew me, I go in there, did the first press conference here, and then everybody recognized me afterwards, my life totally changed around," Pattinson said.

Kristen Stewart said she's excited for the fans to see how they wrap things up with the final film, "Breaking Dawn."

"This one does sort of take everything we've built up in the last movies and sort of finishes the circle," she said. "It was the most intimidating and daunting out of the series."

Actor Taylor Lautner said filming the last chapter was emotional for everyone involved. But even though the movie has wrapped, the friendships he's made with his fellow cast mates will endure.

"Nothing can replace those. We all have become so close, and we're going to be friends for a very long time," Lautner said.

"The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1" hits theaters on November 18.
