A Piece of Aviation History on Display at Long Beach Airport

Sunday, May 07, 2006

The "Wings of Freedom Tour" has been traveling around the nation and has made its stop in at Long Beach Airport for Southern Californians to join in on aviation history.

Visitors are able to view, board, and even take a flight in several vintage aircrafts.

One of the planes on display is the only operational "B-24 Liberator Witchcraft" in existence!

The displayed planes were flown during World War II by members of "WASP," the Women Airforce Service Pilots.

The "Wings of Freedom Tour" is in Long Beach through May 10th.

For more information on the tour or to book a historic flight, log on to www.collingsfoundation.org.
