Long Beach, August 23, 2006 (KABC) -- Long Beach Animal Control and the Long Beach Police responded to a cruelty to animals call at 1333 Redondo Ave, on Wednesday.
They found 250 animals housed at a warehouse. Officers described the premises as unsanitary. The urine odor was so strong it caused irritation to officers as they entered the facility.
The animals will be removed because of the conditions. The operator was arrested by police in the process of the investigation and processing animals.
