ARCADIA, June 1, 2007 -- Arcadia High School was locked down for more than an hour Friday after police received an anonymous call -- which turned out to be false -- that a student was on campus with a gun, authorities said.
Police were sent to the school at 180 Campus Drive after someone dialed 911 about 11:30 a.m. and stated that "a student was on campus with a gun," an Arcadia police official said.
Officers searched the campus, but found no weapon, said Marilyn Daleo of the Arcadia Unified School District. The lockdown ended about 12:45 p.m., Daleo said.
