ANGELENO HEIGHTS, July 6, 2007 (KABC-TV) (KABC) -- It was a heartbreaking loss for neighbors in historic Angeleno Heights after fire tore through a Victorian-era home.
Smoke from the fire was visible from Dodger Stadium Thursday night where fans were watching a game.
The two women living in the house made it out safely. At one point, an ember from the fire blew onto a neighboring house, igniting the roof, but firefighters kept it from spreading.
Angeleno Heights is an historic area and one of the oldest in Los Angeles.
There is no word yet on what caused the fire.
