IRVINE, Oct. 2, 2007 (KABC-TV) (KABC) -- Irvine Police say three women were arrested and charged with prostitution related incidents in an Irvine apartment.
Thirty-four-year-old Kyung Ah Lee of Los Angeles, was charged with felony pimping and conspiracy to commit prostitution. Thirty-four-year-old Su Jin Park and 28-year-old Hyun Jung Shin, who are both from Los Angeles, were charged with misdemeanor prostitution and keeping a house of prostitution.
Police say during a two-week period, officers observed men coming in and out of the two-bedroom apartment unit. Several of the men, who were stopped coming out of the apartment, said they were paying $160 for sexual acts, according to police.
An ad was also posted on craigslist featuring nude and erotic photos of Asian women. The ad stated "hottie Asian girls waiting for you. 1HR 160 roses for your good time." The ad also contained a phone number.
Lee is accused of greeting a man at the door she believed was a customer and giving instructions and directions to potential customers using the phone number listed on craigslist. She is also accused of coordinating the sex acts conducted in the apartment. Lee is also accused of taking $70 for every $160 paid to Park and Shin as her pimping fee.
Shin and Park are accused of receiving $160, disrobing and producing condoms.
All three women are scheduled to be arraigned on October 29th.
