CALABASAS, Oct. 3, 2007 (KABC-TV) (KABC) -- The city of Calabasas may be about to seriously step up its smoking ban.
On Wednesday night the city council will consider an amendment extending the current anti-smoking law to include apartment complexes.
No longer would smokers be able to light up on patios and balconies, only inside their units or designated areas.
Calabasas already prohibits smoking in all parks, apartment common areas, restaurants and bars.
The goal of the new law would be smoke-free apartment complexes, including designating units as non-smoking as soon as smokers leave.
