ORANGE COUNTY (KABC) (KABC) -- Orange County Sheriff Michael Carona is back at work Monday morning following a two month leave of absence.
Carona left the sheriff's office in November to prepare his legal defense for his June trial on federal corruption charges. Carona, his wife Deborah, and his alleged mistress Victoria Hoffman are accused of accepting cash and gifts worth about $350,000.
Since his departure, Undersheriff Jo Ann Galisky has assumed the day-to-day duties as sheriff.
