A half dozen students as well as three adults became ill while visiting the White House Friday.

The Secret Service reports that nine visitors from West Covina Christian School succumbed to ammonia fumes that wafted in from a nearby construction site.

The middle school students have been on a trip that includes visits to many of the United States most historical cities like Washington D.C. as well as cities in New York and Philadelphia.

The school's visit to tour the White House has been rescheduled for Saturday.
