PACOIMA (KABC) -- Police are searching for a suspect who shot and killed a 14-year-old boy in Pacoima Monday night.
Friends visited the site all morning on Tuesday to leave candles and flowers where the teen died. Authorities said two groups of boys got in a street scuffle around 8:30 p.m. near the intersection of Van Nuys and Glenoaks Boulevards.

Friends identified the victim as Alejandro Villa, a student at Charles McClay Middle School.
"Gangs are dumb, and hopefully he's in heaven already," said the victim's friend Angie Lua."He used to go to school, he used to be a good kid. He didn't look for no trouble. But then all of a sudden this happened. I mean, it should have happened to me, I'm the one that's gang-banging," said another friend.
Authorities said they do not believe Villa was a gang member but likely a victim of the ongoing gang violence in the area.
Witnesses said the fight looked almost over when shots were fired. The young boys dispersed, and 14-year-old Villa was left laying on the ground with a gunshot wound.
Villa was taken to a local hospital, where he died.
Police believe the gunman could be just as young as the victim, but do not believe the incident was gang-related.
They also believe that most of the boys involved in the fight know each other.
Police said while they have gotten many leads, there have been no arrests yet.
Anyone with information about the shooting is urged to contact the LAPD Foothill Station at (818) 756-8861 or LAPD Homicide Detectives at (818) 834-3115.
