Healthcare professionals gathered Thursday in the Inland Empire for the sixth annual Southern California Health Care Summit at the Ontario Convention Center.

Nearly 1,000 physicians, hospital executives, policy makers and community leaders met to discuss the latest health issues facing Southern California and the nation.

Speakers addressed the spread of H1N1, public health and new business models for the health care industry.

The National Coordinator for Health Information Technology from the Department of Health and Human Services was also on hand. Dr. David Blumenthal outlined the Obama administration's plan for converting the nation to a paperless health record system.
