Man allegedly bothering kids at Moreno Valley park fatally shot

An officer-involved shooting investigation is underway in Moreno Valley after an officer shot and killed a man.

The shooting happened at the Moreno Valley Community Park. Authorities got a report the man was harassing children by the park restrooms.

They say the officer went to talk to him and there was some kind of fight before the officer drew his gun and shot the man. He was taken to a hospital where he later died from his injuries. The officer is on paid leave per department policy.

Anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to call the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.
