Mega Millions jackpot ticket sold in Riverside; winner yet to come forward
RIVERSIDE, Calif. (KABC) -- A $120-million lottery ticket was sold at a convenience store in Riverside, and the purchaser has yet to come forward.
The winning ticket matched all six numbers, winning $120 million, or an estimated cash option amount of $92.1 million, according to the California Lottery.
A 7-Eleven store at 3740 Iowa Avenue in Riverside sold the winning ticket. The store will receive a bonus of $600,000, according to the California Lottery.
The winning numbers were 20, 5, 33, 36, 11 and the Mega number of 11.
Two tickets that matched five numbers but missed the Mega number were sold in Orange and Alameda counties. Each of those tickets is worth $220,648. The Orange County ticket was sold at Five Points Petro, at 18742 Main Street in Huntington Beach.
Tuesday night's winning tickets come almost seven weeks after the last Mega Millions jackpot was hit in California.
As a multistate game, MEGA Millions is played in California and 43 other jurisdictions (41 states plus the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands). California was the only state to hit the MEGA Millions jackpot Tuesday night, according to California Lottery.
