A Lake Elsinore man wanted for murdering a woman whose body was found stuffed in a suitcase has been arrested in Mexico.

Joseph David Dorsey, 28, was taken into custody by the FBI and Mexican authorities near Playas de Rosarito on Tuesday. He has been deported to the U.S., officials said.

Dorsey is charged with murdering 47-year-old Christine Stewart, a behavioral health specialist. Stewart was reported missing Aug. 4, the same day she and Dorsey were last seen together near a business complex in Canyon Lake.

Her body was later found in a suitcase in a San Diego County motel room.
