The first of several new clinics opens Friday morning in the Watts-Willowbrook area.
It's an area deeply impacted by the closure of what was King Drew Medical Center.
The Charles Drew University Urgent Care Clinic will be located on the 11700 block of South Wilmington Avenue in South L.A.
The facility will treat those needing immediate medical attention, but not emergency patients.
