Racing may be to blame for deadly crash

Sunday, October 05, 2008

Investigators are trying to determine what led up to a deadly head-on collision in Los Angeles.

The crash happened early Sunday morning on the 6400 block of South La Cienega Boulevard.

Police say a black Mustang crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with a minivan. It's believed the Mustang was going more than 125 miles an hour at the time.

The driver of the Mustang was killed in the crash.

Investigators say the black Mustang may have been racing a white Mustang just before the crash. The driver of the white Mustang did not stop.
