SOUTH LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Fatigue may have been a factor in the crash of a LAPD patrol car into a big rig in South L.A.
Authorities are telling the L.A. Times that the officer who was driving may have fallen asleep at the wheel.
One of the officers was trapped inside. Firefighters had to cut the roof open to get him out.
Both officers are being treated for fractures and bruises, but both should be okay.
That big rig was parked illegally at Western and 35th.
