LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Two baggage handlers at Los Angeles International Airport have been arrested on suspicion of stealing hundreds of items from travelers' luggage.
They were arrested on the tarmac after undercover officers searched their homes and found 272 stolen items; including purses, cameras, computers and $10,000 in cash in varying currencies.
Police said they caught on to the men after many of the flights the worked had reports of baggage theft.
LAX leads the nation in the number of items reported stolen from luggage.
