Glendale robbery gunman caught on tape

Wednesday, June 03, 2009

Police released surveillance photos in hopes of catching a robber who shot an 18-year-old Pizza Hut employee in Glendale.

The suspect was dressed in a business suit when he entered the store on South Central Avenue on Sunday at about 11:10 a.m.

He jumped over the counter and told the store manager to open the safe. After getting some cash and her purse, the gunman shot her in the shoulder.

The employee remains hospitalized, but is expected to survive.

Police believe the suspect meant to kill her, and said he got away with several hundred dollars.

Anyone with information is urged to call the Glendale Police Department at (818) 507-STOP.
