1 dead, 1 wounded in Willowbrook shooting

  

WILLOWBROOK, Calif. (KABC) -- Authorities are searching for a gunman who opened fire outside a home in Willowbrook, killing one person and wounding another.

The shooting happened just before 9 p.m. Thursday on the 13200 block of Mona Boulevard near 132nd Street.

Sheriff's deputies say the victims were standing in the front yard when the suspect pulled out a gun and shot them.

They say a man was shot in the torso. He later died at a local hospital.

A woman was shot in the leg. She's hospitalized in stable condition.

The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
