Brush fire starts in Val Verde Park

A brush fire started in the Val Verde Park area of Santa Clarita Valley Friday. The L.A. County Fire Dept. was on the scene Friday afternoon trying to extinguish the 2-acre fire.

The fire started on the 30,000 block of Arlington Street.

At least one water-dropping helicopter was assisting firefighters. The fire was almost completely extinguished by 6 p.m. Friday.
