Experts determined that a chemical spill inside a USC building was not dangerous.

Experts have determined a small chemical spill inside a University of Southern California building Thursday was not dangerous.

At around 11:00 in the morning, dozens of people were evacuated from a building on the south side of the university's football field.

Los Angeles City Fire Spokesman Erik Scott says he's not sure what type of material spilled, but that it was not hazardous. Fire units apparently left the building at 12:20 in the afternoon.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
