Sunday, October 18, 2009

Los Angeles police and SWAT team members are on the scene of a standoff in Sun Valley, trying to talk an armed woman out of a home.

Neighbors made the call police at about 11:15 a.m. after they reported hearing gunshots from the residence in the 11700 block of Saticoy Street near Lankershim Boulevard.

Several units were dispatched to the scene, but the woman refused to come out of the home. Several streets near the scene were shut down. Officers have not confirmed if there is anyone else inside the house.
