Truck shears off hydrant in Harbor City

HARBOR CITY, Calif. (KABC) -- A truck sheared off a fire hydrant, creating a watery mess in Harbor City on Monday.

Water shot into the sky at Sepulveda Boulevard and Normandie Avenue.

A tow truck was called in to pull the truck out, and firefighters had to protect themselves as they got close to turn the water off.

The road has been cleared.
