Beverly Hills may rename busy street

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (KABC) -- Beverly Hills is looking to rename one of its busiest streets.

The Beverly Hills City Council ordered an informal study Thursday to determine whether the city should rename Little Santa Monica Boulevard.

The street is often confused with the larger, more well-known Santa Monica Boulevard to the north that runs parallel to the street in question.

If approved, officials say the street's name might be changed in honor of Will Rogers, who was once an honorary mayor of Beverly Hills.
