WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. (KABC) -- A 5-year-old girl is in the hospital after being struck by car that plowed into a strip mall in Woodland Hills.
The accident happened just before 3 p.m. Saturday at a building on the corner of Ventura Boulevard and Rigoletto Street.
Police said the driver was parking and apparently hit the gas pedal instead of the brake. The car hit the girl and pushed her through a plate glass window.
A witness was able to push the car back and free the child.
The little girl was airlifted to UCLA Medical Center. Police said her injuries are not life threatening.
