Homeless man's body found after shack fire

CARSON, Calif. (KABC) -- The body of a transient man was discovered in a burned out shack in Carson Saturday.

The California Highway Patrol originally got the call at around 10:20 p.m. and L.A. County firefighters were dispatched to the scene.

Firefighters knocked down the flames in about 20 minutes, but found a man's body inside the shack.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said an investigation is underway.
