L.A. drinking water ranks low for quality

A local lawmaker wants answers from the Department of Water and Power about the quality of Los Angeles' drinking water.

A recent report ranked the DWP's water quality 83rd out of the nation's 100 largest agencies.

Councilwoman Janice Hahn has requested an immediate report back from the DWP on the level of contaminants in the city's drinking water. She also wants the department to detail what it's doing to reduce contaminants and to provide the cleanest drinking water available.
