MOUNT WASHINGTON, Calif. (KABC) -- Firefighters made quick work of an early morning blaze in the Mount Washington area on Friday, knocking it down before it damaged any homes.
The fire broke out just before 1 a.m. near Mount Washington Drive and Marmion Way. Fire trucks and water-dropping helicopters were called in, and it took crews about an hour to get the flames under control.
A few homes near Glenalbyn Drive and Camino Real were briefly threatened, but none were damaged. Two acres were burned.
